Halloween is almost here! We’ve put together some pretty great healthy options that’ll definitely get your kids excited!
Cannibal Apple

Ingredients:
- Red apple
- Green apple
- Marshmallow
- Almond
- Peanut butter
Directions:
- Cut the apples into thick slices, then spread peanut butter on two slices of apples
- Stick some marshmallows and almonds pretending as teeth.
- Combine the two slices of apples.

Nutritional value:
Apples contain pectin, which in addition to helping gut health, can aid digestion and relieve diarrhea.

Capsicum Grimace
Ingredients:
- Capsicum (yellow and red)
- Sliced cheese
- Minced meat
- Diced carrot
- Tomato paste
Directions:
- Carve your favorite grimace on the capsicums.
- Pan-fry the minced meat and carrots with the addition of tomato sauce.
- Put the sliced cheese into the capsicum (better to cover the grimace to prevent the ingredients from spilling out).
- Pour in the prepared meat sauce. Finally bake it at 200°C for 5 minutes.

Nutritional value:
Capsicum is rich in vitamin C, which can help enhance immunity. Since vitamin C is water-soluble, it is easily lost during cooking process. Baking the capsicum for a short period of time can minimize the loss of vitamin C.
Carrots contain Vitamin A, which helps improve immunity and is important to children’s eye development.
Cheese is rich in calcium. 2 slices of cheese contain as much calcium as 1 cup of milk. It aids children’s bone development and prevents osteoporosis in adults.
